IE Business School Online Masters

I recently returned from our 2 week residential period in Shanghai. The first 2 days were exams and on the 3rd day we presented our business plans for the Entrepreneurship class. This was done at the Spanish pavilion at the World Expo. We are a lucky group because we will be the only ones who get to go to the Expo as part of the period.

The 2 weeks were a wonderful experience, not only because of the city, but also because it was an excellent opportunity to catch up with the rest of the class. We’d all met for 2 weeks in Madrid 6 months before and had been avidly reading each others posts in the online class discussion. However, it was very special to be able to bond closer to so many great people I now consider friends for life. In fact our class has pretty much decided that we want to have an annual reunion, to be held anywhere in the world. People kept telling me that the greatest benefit they got from an EMBA was the networks. Well, I’d have to agree, although it is not just the networks, because we are all very experienced in our field, but the camaraderie you have with someone who is going through the same journey as you are with the IE Executive MBA.

As for Shanghai and China…amazing. You really need to go there to believe it. What they are doing in China and the scale they have is beyond imagination and it is hard to fathom what they are achieving whilst the rest of the world is going through a financial crisis.

Study trip to Port of Shanghai.
